When so much time is spent on the road, and so many faces pass before our own, it's hard, at times, to remember the small things that make our life enjoyable. We forsake many everyday pleasures in order to live the life we have chosen.

Our payback, however, is that we've become a part of something larger than just a band. Our extended family stretches from the foothills of the Rockies to the Eastern seaboard, from across the Canadian border to our homes in Houston, Texas, and everywhere in between.

Because we've become such a large, far-flung group, we'd like to take a moment to introduce you to some of the people we've met in our travels, our friends and family.
Sharon 1

Mrs. Sharon Wothke

First and foremost, she's the fifth cog in the Rogues traveling circus. She has been with the Rogues from the inception and continues to be a vital part of the organization. She designs; she dances, and she keeps the guys organized!

If you see her between shows, be sure to say "hi!"

The Rogueys

The position of "Roguey" is an honor bestowed on those special supporters who have selflessly given of their time and energy, again and again--to haul stock, set up or man a table, pick up a sales basket in a pinch, guard our instruments, run to get stock, or double as bodyguards when needed, asking nothing in return. These special people have become trusted friends and helpers over the years. We would like to thank them for their tireless service and support of the band.

Bobby

Bobby and Paige French

The dynamic duo. When needed, they have served as roadies, stage managers, sales clerks, security and medical team. (Don't ask.)

Paige

Tigger

Our Bouncy Trouncy Flouncy Pouncy Roguish Bouncer and also the former Above and Beyond the Call webmaster. He may not always be where we are, but he always knows what we are doing.

Tigger and friend

Tom and Sarita

Tom and Sarita Oertling

Amongst the original Rogueys, we have Tom and Sarita Oertling from Galveston, TX -- our liaisons from the Highlander Convention and numerous other gigs!

Bill and Heather Hohmann

The original par-tay crew, these are the folks who organize the Scarby celebrations and show up with barbecue and cake! Mmmm... Also? Heather is the only one who gets Nelson's Canadian jokes.

Herb and Ann

Herb and Ann Diehl

Then we have Herb and Ann Diehl from Thompson, OH. Our feisty Scottish lassie and her quiet hubby -- the one who mixes those deadly rum punches at the Great Lakes Medieval Fair.

Heather and Lyn Bell

Heather and Lyn from Anytown, MD. They met each other at a Rogues show at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, got engaged at another show, and then got married a year later. (Guess who played at their wedding!)

Robert

Robert Nowak

Next up is Robert Nowak from Erie, PA, our quiet supporter from GLMF and the Oberlin Highland Games.

William and Shaun Wilson

William and Shaun Wilson from Glen Burnie, MD, willingly dove into the duties as our kilted, security duo at MDRF.

If you look up "Roguey" in a thesaurus, you'll find "friend" listed as a synonym. (No, seriously.) One of the best things in life is that our list of Rogueys keeps growing.

Dave and Andrea Ballot, Mark and Tammy Musselwhite

We had a great time at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in 2003 with Dave and Andrea Ballot, and Mark and Tammy Musselwhite. Also...

Dorothy Strickland Stackhouse

Butch and Cindy

Butch and Cindy Cook

In 2004 our Roguey krewe grew. In Ohio we can always count on seeing Butch and Cindy Cook.

Robin Roth and Carolyn Ivanye

And not far from them will be Robin Roth and Carolyn Ivanye.

The Roguettes

We've often been asked by people in all parts of the country who/what are the Roguettes. In a nutshell, these are small groups of people (mostly women) who've banded together wherever the Rogues play, calling themselves the Roguettes. As far as we're concerned, we think it's great!

However, to properly answer the question of who/what the Roguettes are, here's a look at some of the Roguettes at work.
