Annapolis Irish Festival Recap

The 5th Annual Annapolis Irish Festival is now history and The Rogues were honored to be part of it. With 5 shows throughout the weekend, the band anchored the Fado Stage on Friday and Saturday, which we shared with Albannach, Barleyjuice and The Kilmaine Saints.

It was great seeing all our friends who came out, and we had the pleasure of being joined by our good friend Maia Rodriguez with a little Irish step dancing in our 4:00 show on Saturday, and thanks to all those belly dancers, step dancers and free spirits who were moved to dance anytime we performed.

For all you Outlander fans, the band debuted their version of the theme music, Skye Boat Song, to a very appreciative crowd. One eager listener inquired about which CD that tune was on, but that will be something to look forward to on the next one.

Many thanks to the Annapolis Irish Festival for having The Rogues back for our 4th out of 5 years of the show, and we hope to be back in the future. Also thanks to all our friends who came out to support the band. If it weren't for you we wouldn't be here at all.

And don't forget, we'll be at John Strongbow's Tavern this Friday night, July 17th, if you'd like another go round. For reservations call 703-329-3075. Hope to see you there!
