Facebook Break Down

We now have three separate pages on Facebook for connecting to everyone..

Our new "page" is primarily for people to "like" - when you click like on this page it will show up in your favorites under the music section. Groups don't have this feature, The page is primarily for promotional purposes. It allows us to reach audiences who may like a band similar to ours and find us through that commonality. The page also allows prospective venues to get quick information about us.

The main group is the gathering place for all things ROGUES related. We welcome all fans and prospective venues here for discussion and photo/ video sharing.

The Clan Rogue group is for our die-hard fans. It will be used to form our street team. Clan Rogue will be privy to special offers, discounts, breaking news, contests, games, polls and more. Clan Rogue will also be offered promotional items that the other groups will not. We have some fun fan-interactive plans in the making. THE ROGUES have always been known for their sense of humor, approachability and for making fans feel like part of our family.

So there you have it - a full explanation of all of our various Facebook activities. We hope to see you soon!

The Rogues Classic Line-up Debuts at Dickens on the Strand

The Rogues just finished a great weekend at Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, TX.  Thanks to all of our friends who came out to say hello and give us a great welcome for our first reunion show in Texas.  It was wonderful seeing familiar faces and making new friends.  Thanks to the Galveston Historical Foundation and Murphy's Pub for making us feel welcome.  By the way, the pizza at Murphy's Pub is amazing if anyone finds themselves in Galveston.  The weather was gorgeous and Cherry and I were grateful to be arriving in Texas when we did, escaping most of the cold up north.

The Rogues had 4 stage shows throughout the weekend, many lane shows in front of Murphy's and did a couple shows inside the pub for festive crowds.  To add to an already great weekend, the Texans beat the Titans on Sunday!  We got to catch a little of the game in the pub.

The Rogues were joined by Doug Frobese on pipes. Doug did an awesome job.  I ran into former Scottish drumming student Chris Bordelon, and he posted a great video of our Gravel Walk set at the Crystal Palace stage.

Thanks to Cherry, Heather and Missy for handling sales for us and doing an awesome job.  Fun was had by all and this was the most enjoyable show we've done in a long time.  Looking forward to more gigs to come!

Interview with Marc Gunn

Marc Gunn of Celtic Music Magazine conducted an interview with me at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival this past weekend where I was guest performing with our friends Haggis Rampant. The interview is available here. He also reposted his review of The Rogues 5.0 album from 2001, and tomorrow he's putting up an article about current events with The Rogues. Tonight his famous podcast will feature Rogues music as well.
